About

The Gargoyle is the University of Michigan's official humor magazine. It currently prints three issues each school year and is distributed for free throughout Ann Arbor and the Michigan campus. The magazine is composed of a variety of articles, ranging from short fiction to interviews to satire, as well as art and cartoons.

Why read the Gargoyle? The Gargoyle is needed not only on campus, but everywhere. We give people something to laugh at when they're tired of laughing at themselves. We give our writers a voice when life is just too funny to sit idly by without saying anything. We are proof that the pen is mightier than the sword. (Plus, most of us are too uncoordinated to be effective with a sword. We'd probably hurt ourselves pretty badly.) We are like no other publication out there, and we're damn proud of that.
